Default Both Door Ajar and Trunk Lid/Tail ON together.

I took my 2008 Hyundai Accent in for my routine oil change and the Dealership check in man noticed that my Trunk Lid/Tail Gate Warning Light was open but gave a false reading. I never thought nothing of it and had thought it to be a normal variant. My question.. Is it normal for both the Door Ajar Warning and Trunk Lid/Tail Gate to automatically light simultaneously every time I open the driver side door? They both turn off when the door is closed however if indeed the Trunk Lid/Tail Gate is open it continues to stay lit until closed. Thank you in advance.

no thats not normal at all. trunk light is for trunk, door light is for door just like any other car.

sounds like a crossed wire, you should still have warranty on a 2008. time to talk to the stealership.
