check engine light?

So I only have around 1,500 miles and the other day while driving the check engine light flashed at me around 5 or 6 times then turned off. I guess I'll be taking it in... anyone with a similar experience?

It's probably something minor like a loose gas cap. If the light doesn't stay on I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Buy a cheap scanner at walmart or something. You could check the error code your self ( at the car repair shop they charge 100 $ to do the same) Then google that code to see what it is. Often these codes can dissapear by themselfes. One way to make sure you have no problems is to disconnect the battery for a while and put it back on again. This will recycle though all the codes.

Go to a autoparts store instead of walmart they let you use the scan tools for free ( oreilys or Autozone )
