Default Driver's door lock

I have a 2007 2 door Hyundai Accent and the driver's door will not lock with the remote or the button on the door panel.
Unlock works just fine and only the driver's door is affected.
Bought a new actuator but that didn't help

Any help with this would be very much appreciated
Thanks.

I would have said it sounds like the actuator
But you say you have a new one
Then it becomes time to get a wiring diagram
This will lead you to where you should look next
Looking at powers and grounds
Usually the relays are an issue
But, never know until one tests it

Good luck

Ok time to bring my old post back from the dead.
I gave up on trying to fix this problem for far too long.

I have replaced both of the relays and that didn't fit the problem

The service manual says I should have continuity between terminals 1 and 3 I don't have a terminal on number 3.(if the service manual referring to the plug on the harness)
And I do not have a path to ground on the red wire. The gray wire does have a path to ground. And no continuity between the red and the gray wire.

I used a test light for the next steps

Gray to ground test light comes on when I press the lock button

Red to ground light comes on when I press the unlock button

Only have power between the red and the gray wire when I press the unlock button
And nothing when I press the lock button

is it possible that I have a problem inside the fuse box itself since I've got power on the red wire but no ground?

When not using switch, the red and grey wires are at ground
When the switch is used, either one of the red or grey wire goes to power .. the actuator depending upon lock or unlock is chosen
You tested and there is no ground on the red wire.
Now it is a matter of finding the reason why. Trace red wires to those relays
Look into fuse box. You are so close to finding the problem.

When not using the switch I do not have ground on the red wire, but I do have power on the red wire when I use the switch.
so I'm thinking the wire should be good from the actuator to the fuse box.
I'll have to take a look at the wiring diagram and see if I can find where the wire goes on the fuse box.

You are right. The relay at the fuse box provides the ground or power on the red wire.
When relay is off, it should provide a ground. Since it doesn't, would look into the relay socket at the fuse box.
From what I remember about these circuits the relays share the same ground and power fuse.
So ground to relay is the place to look.

I went to the salvage yard bought another fuse box installed it today.
And that didn't work I still have the same problem.
Would you happen to know the location that the red wire from the driver's door actuator goes to on the fuse box / junction box.
I don't know if the wiring diagram has that information or not I'm not very good at reading those.

Thank you for any help you can give me

My diagram doesn't really tell me all that much.
Just that pin 87a is the one that is normally closed and goes to ground
Did you check the relay for ground with a test light?
Why are you buying stuff and replacing it without testing first?
The relay is what provides ground for the red wire when the circuit is at rest or switch is not used.
Test light, clip is on battery positive, probe goes to the pins to see which lights up.
Should be only one pin going to ground for each relay.
See which relay is missing the ground.
That is the one for the red wire. Identify 87a or which one should be ground.
Follow wiring. maybe wire is broken or open circuit??

Default driver door lock

my driver door won't lock either electrically. swapped relays and changed actuator- neither helped. There is a feature that prevents driver door from locking when key is left in ignition- could this be the problem? Any thoughts?

PS It decided to work for 2 days and then went back to not working. HELP!

The problem requires a capable scan tool to check for any stored codes and it can conduct a module health check to check for any problems there.
Those features can be changed if necessary , but the special scan tool is required.
