Default Drivers side window

I have a 1999 Hyundai Accent gs hatchback. The issue I’m dealing with is the drivers side window will not roll up smoothly. It will roll down just fine but when I got to roll it up, it gets really tight and hard to roll up. Thanks

I had to replace a window switch on my 2008 accent. Perhaps that is the problem.

Could look at the mechanism?
Maybe needs some TLC?
Some lube on the mechanism or side of windows?

Yes I have had the same issue.
The window is operated by a cable. The cable is enclosed in a plastic sheath.
The lubrication in this sheath has dried out.
Take the door cover off, and lubricate the cable (I used teflon lubricant) Operate the window up/down and spray lubricant into the cable sheath, until it frees up.
Then it will work normally again. This did fix the problem on my Accent.
No, you do not need a new assembly....just lube the old one.
Hope that helps you.
