Front end noise when turning
Hello all,
2006 Hyundai Accent 102000 miles automatic. I have noticed over the past two months that I have developed a creaking noise in the front end when I turn the wheel to the right or left. More pronounced when I am driving although it will creak at a stop when I turn the wheel. Straight ahead driving is pretty smooth and quiet. The sound reminds me of a creak from a dried out bearing or joint. I'll continue to search the forum but am hoping to be pointed in the right direction. I am handy and will try to do the repair myself. Fist thoughts were hubs or ball joints. Any help would be appreciated, Kevin |
If it is a ball joint,do you have the tool to remove and install the ball joints? If not, might be a good idea to determine just what is the source , then have someone with the tools to do the job take care of it.

Thanks Hanky. I looked closer and my drivers side axle boot is torn so It may be beginning to dry out. I ordered each axle and will replace as soon as I get a good day or two
Thanks for your response, Kevin |
