Default How to repair scratch on Accent?

I just purchased a 2011 Accent hatchback (color - clearwater blue). I noticed a long horizontal scratch on the driver's side and would greatly appreciate some suggestions on how I can fix it...other than having a body shop do it at an unholy price.

The scratch appears fairly light..and not deep, and it appears that it has only gone through the clear coating, not into the paint itself. I've been looking at 'rubbing compounds' and scratch repairers (primarily Turtle Wax brand) and am a bit confused as to which to use, if any.

I've never attempted to do this before, so all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I put my finger in some rubbing compound and rubbed along the scratchmixing with alittle water. if its a lot of resistance, use more water. scratch I had was on a silver metallic 08 sonata. the scratches were like cuts in the paint. you could use a little bit at a time and rinse well with water. later I will try some polish to blend the repair.
