Lights on dashbord turned off ???

Hello everyone. Recently, the lights on the dashbord of my car have turned off. After awhile, they turn on again. What could be causing that?

These lights turn off all at the same time so I'm thinking electrical? Is there anything I could do before paying a fortune at a garage? The spedometer light, the gas gauge light and the rpm lights all turn off at the same time. I can see very faintly a light where the gas mileage is however. My lights are at their most powerful. (I checked last night).

It happened last week when we had a big wind and rain storm but the next day it was ok. Yesterday, about 4 days later, it happened again just as I was entering my driveway. They all went out at the same time.

Can you help me figure it out please and thank you.

Do you have the white sporty looking cluster with the BLUE backlighting ??

If the answer is "YES".... then you need to replace the "inverter" for the lights.. it is a small $100 or there abouts module that goes into the instrument cluster.. not hard part to replace

I'm not sure what you mean by sporty white cluster but the lighting is a pale blue though.

Replace the inverter inside the instrument cluster.

Instrument face is white back ground I think it is, black indicator lines, blue/teal color back lighting to illuminate the cluster..

Any chance anyone knows what the "inverter" is? Where to find it and...where to get a new one?
