I have a 2001 Accent with a driver side air bag; is it possible to change to an aftermarket steering wheel?

Why? Why give up safety for something that won't increase performance of a daily driver economy car? Plus, if your insurance company finds out you removed the air bag they won't pay out if you get into an accident.
