Odd 2006 Accent Heater Problem
 

First, thank you for allowing me to post here. I sincerely appreciate the chance to interact with you members! :)

My sister has a 2006 Accent. Late last week, she noticed that her heater/ac blower was not working. She brought it to me (naturally...) and I checked the fuses (all good- but I didn't know if there were fusible links), I switched the starter and blower relays around (and the relays were switching, I felt them), and I checked the engine compartment fuses as well. All seemed okay.

No matter where the switch was turned- 1 thru 4- there was no blower.

However, this morning she left for work. It was quite cool and without thinking she cut the switch on and the blower worked perfectly all the way to work- about 30 miles. When she got into the car this evening (the interior was very hot) there was no blower again.

I do electronics work, and wondered: do you more experienced Hyundai owners think it may be an intermittent blower resistor or a dirty switch? I'm having her try again tomorrow, only this time I've told her to leave the switch alone, so if it works when cool, and doesn't when hot I'd wager perhaps more toward the resistor.
