Well I went out and got a new 14mm plug and some of the washer that people might use.

From left to right is
1.Factory Hyundai crush aluminum washer (the style that was giving me leaks)

2.A flexible plastic washer that came withe the new plug .

3. Nylon washer

4. Copper washer

That's the one I've been using for the last 6 years without any leaks.
I put a brand new one every oil change.

I dont get it,when I use the OEM sometimes they leak and the leak wont stop until you get the sweet spot on tightness, for me its a hit and miss with the OEM then again I dont have atorgue wrench or the proper foot lbs to tighten it.I dont wrench down on the thing at all ,youcan kinda feel when to stop turning the wrench.

Yes, i always buy a couple extra washers from hyundai when i do a oil change, .I just used my last one yesterday,.So i then put that blue plastic washer on and no leaks at all. Maybe on the next oil change i will use a hyundai washer since i have a new plug.

Maybe the washer isn't the problem. Maybe it was the plug or the pan itself. If the plastic washer is working then I'd stick with it until it stops working.
