RE: Troublecode Help...
P0722 indicates a bad pulse generator in the transnission, a sensor that monitors rpm on the transfer shaft. I couldn't find a specific reference to P1522, but I suspect it is a general error code issued by the ECM when the TCM flagged the problem with the pulse generator. There are two technical service bulletins regarding the replacement of the PG-B, #03-40-016 and #03-40-022. Both can be found at http://www.hmaservice.com/ . 016 is specific to the 2000-2002 Accent. 022 covers a wider range of models. Replacing the pulse generator and reseting the codes should solve your problem.

RE: Troublecode Help...
Please don't go too fast for changing a sensor, Those 2 sensor (pulse Generator A & B) are connected on the same harness, connected with a cheap connector.
The best way it is to remove the battery and tha battery tray. and clean that connector and add some electric grease. I have remove PGA for fun and found out with a multimeter it was working correctly. It was on my sister hyundai accent 2002. And like Ken99 says you have a TSB on that. It should not be more then 30min. Have Fun. |
