Wheel Bearing Replacement.

I have the part that holds the bearing with the dust cover attached off of the tie rod and knuckle.
What is this ring on the outside (left side of driver's side) of this piece (and what is this piece called?!), and how do I get it off in order to press the bearing out?!
Any information would be helpful.

I can't find a video with a similar piece on another vehicle anywhere online.
Thanks!

Just got my knuckles back from the shop having the wheel bearings done on my 08 Accent. I believe that is just part of the OEM bearing that will be pressed out. I will check mine and let you know. I have not installed them yet.

Just remembered to update this post. That piece is still in my knuckle after the shop pressed in my new bearings. Probably a retainer since their is a snap ring on the back side.

Thanks for the reply, Duke.

I took it into a shop and had my bearing pressed out as well and the machinist there told me the same thing. Thought I would have to get it off in order to extract the bearing with a bearing press doing it myself. :o

Will probably always take it into a machine shop if I'm doing it in the future.
