Hi to all the enthusiasts.
My mother in law has a 2009 Atos, which has developed a ticking sound in the engine.

it appears to be coming from the centre back area. What isnstrange is that it ticks for exactly 14 times, then skips one then another 14 times and so on. The ticking time is consistent at idle or while driving, below 60kmh or above 100kmh, alwyas the same.

I am not a mechanic, but I cannot see any obvious problems. Any suggestions of what should be checked or replaced?

It seems the source of the ticking sound was the air flow meter. Once it was disconnected the ticking sounds stopped. Reconnected agin, they resumed. It was cleaned and returned and everything was as it should be. It will be replaced soon.
