SRS Light does not blink when I turn on ignition
 

Hi everyone,
I've just bought a second-hand Hyundai Atos Prime (year: 2002). I know that it has an air bag on the steering wheel and a passenger one as well.


According to the owners manual, it states that, when I turn the ignition key, the SRS light on the dash board should blink 6 times, then go off.


Mine does not switch on at all. I went to an electrician and confirmed from his scanner that something is wrong as the following were displayed on his laptop:


B1620 - SRSCM Internal Failure - Permanent
B1346 - Airbag driver circuit, high resistance - Intermittent


Does this mean that I have to replace my SRS ECU?


Please give me your honest opinion as I trust you more than my local mechanic.
