07 Azera CV axle removal

I have a 2007 azera 3.8L. I'm trying toget the pass side CV axle out, I have the rotor off, brakes, ball joint out of the way and there is a mounting braket about halfway that i took the bolts out of. Now where it is into the transmission, there is a aluminum ring that just pried off and I cant seem to see where to pry out the axle as it says you should do with Sonata's and other cars? under the aluminum ring looks like maybe a seal with like 6 tiny holes in it? still, i'm not seeing anywhere to hit with a pry bar or wedge to get the axle started coming out?? any help??

Paid a guy to replace it for me. Seems that there is a brace about 10" from the transmission and I had removed the 2 bolts but it also has 2 "metal doll pins"?? that are holding the brace on. Pry the brace away and the shaft will pull right out. I didnt have a manual and couldnt see up in there from laying on the ground, :( well it's fixed now.
