2007 Azera Power Seat problem

Since August have had problems with the drivers powerseat moving forward and locking into a position where driving the vehicle very unsafe. Basically the backrest moves forward pinning the driver up against the wheel? Cormier Hyundai could not find anything wrong, but once again this evening it has locked into place, and made driving the vehicle very unsafe. Have called the dealer and corporate Hyundai looking for assistance to override the system but they have no solution.

Try pulling the fuse for the power seats.

i had the same thing happen to me and I am 6' 4" and i was VERY unsafe... it happened under warranty and it cost me nothing.... it is the switch!! it started out as an intermittant problem(the hardest to fix) and when it locked in..i took it to the dealer... get that switch switched!! :D

2007 Azera also . just happened to me. Seat back self-actuated and locked forward. I was able to get it to function again by holding the switch full forward a few seconds and then full backward a few seconds. the car then 'beeped' (elctronic beeps) . After a second rep of this the switch and seat behaved normally, although I could hear some motor noise intermittently without touching the switch (and no seat movement).
The car has 61,300 miles.
Dealer told me it is the switch and the seat track/rail because part of the situation is built into the seat track (a $2300.00 part they tell me - # 881103L450 plus switch
881933L100K7 (about $150..00).
They are telling me Hyundai will give the track/rail but I must pay $450-$500 for diagnosis and re-install plus about $150 for the switch.= $600.00.

2007 Azera power seat problem

My driver's seat back began to mysteriously lean to the most forward position when parked overnight. At first I thought my wife was adjusting it to fit her when she drove the car. Yesterday it actuated itself while I was driving, folding my arms at the elbows and pushing my knees to the sides and my foot off the gas pedal.

Now it is acting as described by the posters above. Has anyone else had any more recent experiences and advice to add to this thread?

2007 azera drivers power seat /over 150k miles

I have the same problem as others, seat sliding forward, one day nothing, does not move, was told about the seat rail & $2300. Now my wife drives it more ,I purchased another a Santa Fe. Is there a way to by pass the switch or motor just to move the seat forward a little for my wife? I am assuming there is a right & left seat rail and other parts? Can anything be switched around from the passenger seat? From the other comments, I would guess the switch is bad and the motor is okay? Any comments from anyone please on how to check this out? How about auto salvage yards for parts?
Thanks for any help.
