Hyundai Azera reliability - better info

Because existing sources of auto reliability information left much to be desired, in late 2005 I started conducting my own reliability research at TrueDelta.com. TrueDelta reports absolute stats like "trips to the shop" that make the differences between cars much clearer. Results are updated four times a year, so any significant changes in a model's reliability become apparent quickly.

This month we'll have an initial result for the 2007. Not quite enough responses for the 2006, and the 2008 isn't yet included in the survey because too few owners have signed up.

Participants simply report repairs the month after they occur on a one-page survey. When there are no repairs, they simply report an approximate odometer reading four times a year, at the end of each quarter.

To encourage participation, panel members receive full access to the results for free.

Updated result for the Azera this week. We're a couple responses short of the minimum for the 2007--so additional participants would be very helpful.

You're certainly welcome.

We'll have new results in May, with a preview next month for participants.

Need more for the Azera, especially for the 2009 and up. Help us provide the best possible information on your year:

We have updated results for the Azera. In terms of successful repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2007: 53, about average, close to "better than average"

2006: 93, about average, close to "worse than average"

Sample sizes are small in both cases.

A big thanks to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in August and November. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.
