Slow fuel flow at Gas station

Having problems when refueling 2013 Azera. Fuel nozzle quickly stops as if the tank was full. Takes forever to fill the tank. I’ve seen topic on this but not related to an Azera. Dealer replaced charcoal canister a couple of months ago and issue was resolved. Now back to the same issue of slow filling, they said now they have to replace the Valve assembly -Fuel vent… This wasn’t covered by my warranty and would be charged $399.. I’m slightly mechanically inclined so I purchased the part but don’t know where it goes 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️. Anyone have this same issues with slow refueling?

If you are you in the habit of adding fuel to the tank after it is supposed to be full that can create problems.

The vapor recovery system is supposed to store ONLY gasoline vapor in the charcoal canister. If liquid gasoline is sent in there because of overfilling ,it can destroy the canister and cause charcoal granules from the canister to get into the fuel going to the engine at the time of purging and cause a multitude of problems plus contaminating the other lines to the emission control valves.

Thank you Hanky, Understood. Looking for help on how to fix this issue, specifically where/how to install the Valve assembly-Fuel vent part #31155-3R500. Dealership recommended replacing this part. They had already replaced the charcoal canister, still having sj
low fill issues.

I have never had to replace one, but from the looks of it , you may need to drop the fuel tank . Appears it is held in place on top of tank.

Without the proper tools and equip can be a nightmare job. Get a few opinions and costs from a few shops.

I appreciate your feedback. Hopefully it won’t be too bad 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Considering that tank has been up there for 10 years and we don;t know where you drive (salted roads) let's hope for the best.
