TG Azera Parking Brake

Guys, I have a TG Azera but the parking brake doesn't seem to hold the vehicle.

Suppose I engage the parking brake fully and leave the car in D or R, the vehicle keeps rolling.

Is this normal?

This is becoming an issue, cause when I park the vehicle on a slope, it is the gearbox that holds the vehicle and not the parking brakes!

Please advise if this is normal and if your Azera have the same issue.

The parking brake should be able to hold the car when in gear but not if you try to accelerate even lightly. The problem is the rear brakes probably need to be adjusted or replaced.

Yeah, that's what I thought too.

But problem now is, when the parking brakes is fully engaged and the vehicle left in "D", the vehicle just rolls without any use of the gas pedal! And the dealers insist this is normal!

Does your Azera have this problem?

No, that's not normal.
