98 Coupe SE clock

I'm a newby and also the proud owner of a 98 coupe SE and the digital clock has an intermitent fault. My local dealer tell me that this is a common problem [:@] Has anyone had any this same problem? Has anyone managed to replace the clock themselves? It appears that the the clock is inaccesible without dismantling the dash, I'd appeciate any comments and advice.

Thanks

EG XX

yes unfortunately the clock is screwed into the plastic from the back so center fascia has to come off . and yes they are quite common to failing.

I have the same problem. I cant set the clock.
But in summer I will upholster my dashboard, so i must demount everything there.
I you want to wait till summer, I can give you a "how to" for demounting the dashboard

its best to just put up with it im afraid, everybody i know who has an f2 including myself suffers with it , its a lot of hard work repairing it if its at all possible, believe me just google f2 flashing clock .... see how many hits you get ,legend has it that the swiss master clock maker that designed and made this stunning time piece sadly commited suiced while fitting the origional to the very first f2 ...... people say his spirit haunts every f2 ever made since
