hi,

i have a 1999 RD2 model coupe. i have mixed feeling with this car, at the moment she has a bit of damage to the front end courtesy of a beamer driver.

any long story short. my plan was to fix my girl up n sell her. but now im not so sure because i most likely wont get what i need for her. so my other choice was to tune her up and turbo charge her.

im having two troubles at the moment. 1 - is i cant find a replacement hood for under 700$ n i refuse to pay that much for a damn hood. i can get a full body kit for that. 2 - is performance, i cant seem to find anything on the engine. i want to all out rebuild the engine. make it bigger n better before i boost her.

if anyone can offer advice its would be much appreciated.

You being in Australia makes it a little hard for Yanks to help you. Maybe somebody local has some suggestions.

 

yea i unfortunately was thinking that could be a problem.

on the other hand i have no problem importing parts from America if they are worth it. if by choosing to do this car up then i will pull out all the stops. ill put everything i have into her. which is why i have posted on this forum

but yes..still any sort of help is grateful even if its just ideas

Yeah mate, I'm sitting with the same problem! Only with a Coupe RD 97. I can't believe a small fender bender could be so costly.
