Alloy Wheels - Clearance Problem

Hi,

I'm really hoping someone can give me some help with a problem i'm having with my 2005 Hyundai Coupe Sport.

I recently put 18" alloy wheels on there and the wheel size is 225 40 18.

Car is giving me problems when i have a full load of people in my car i can hear rubbing coming mainly from the right hand rear alloy, as though it's rubbing against the arch when my car is full.

Can anyone give me some help on this matter on where to go from here?

225/40-18 is the correct size tire so if it's rubbing then the wheels are sticking out too far. You need new wheels with more backspace to pull then inwards.

Wouldn't rolling the arches solve the problem? I paid good money for these alloys and now that i have driven in them can't exactly return them

That depends on how far the wheels are sticking out and how much is rubbing.
