04 Elantra Possible Electrical Problem
 

Hello,

I have an 04 elantra where I had a recent alternator replaced and it started doing some weird stuff right before the original one was replaced and continues to do it after we put the new one in. First the dome light, radio, alarm, clock do not turn on. I replaced the original 15 amp fuse and it blew almost immediately. So I think that would be a short. Also, Whenever I turn the ignition on the tachometer and speedometer go to half way and go back down.....same with the gas gauge. It almost seems like the computer is resetting every time I'm turning on the car. Is this a etac issue? Is there a common issue for the short since I have seen a couple of similar issues on here and on the net. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
