2000 elantra with no dome lights

I was working on installing a new stereo in my car and all of a sudden, the lights went out. I'm quite sure it's just a blown fuse, but I can't find the fuse for the interior lights! I checked all the fuses under the steering wheel, and the fuse box under the hood. What else should I do?

Does it work when you open the doors? All doors? Or is it completely dead no matter what you do?

Chances are it's the fuse. I can't find the fuse diagram for it, but it's going to be a 10 amp fuse under the steering wheel.

Take out the dome light and test it with a multimeter. Is there power coming in? Is the ground good?

If it's not that, then you blew something out on the ECM computer. Did you disconnect the neg cable on the battery before your stereo installation? A hard lesson, ALWAYS remove the battery cable before working on the electrical system of a modern car.

Double check the B/Alarm fuse in the box under the hood. It doesn't matter if the car has a sunroof or not as far the room lamp (aka, dome light) is concerned.
