2006 Elantra GT Hatchback 16.5 MPG???
Dear, "H" users / owners.
Please kindly provide me with the infoarmation in regards to the actual / not book printed or I-net MPG for the 2006 "Hyundai Elntra GT" Mine got 16.5 MPG city milage - is that all right??? To me is sound like the 8 cilinder vehicle millage... Mine got only 4 -cyl., Correct??? ;-) ?? What coud have gone wroing now?? I have got new tires, wheel balancing and allignment, Tune up done! Air filter new, NGK plugs, Only BP 93 gasolkine used - always, however the millage is 16.5 ???? What do I do? Oil changed to the Mobil Fully Syntetic.... What else is out there? Oxigen sensor? Any other sensors??? What is your MPG on the same car??? Please kindly reply! |
Your car was rated at about 27-mpg combined. However, how you drive has a lot to do with it. Do you drive mostly city stop and go? Are you heavy on the accelerator? Do you use the A/C a lot?
Also, your car is rated to use 87 octane gasoline. Using anythng more that that is a waste of money. 93 octane fuel does nothing for your car. |

Yes, it's cold but if you use the defroster to clear the windshield, the A/C is being used.
Have you had the computer scanned for codes? |

Yes, that is true. The windshield settings on the HVAC will turn on the A/C to defog the windshield. The A/C light won't turn on but the compressor is running to de-humidify the air. The windshield settings will also switch to fresh air intake if the system is set to recirculate.
