2007 Elantra, unclipping the Glove box

I want to get to the cabin filter on my 07 Elantra. Its located behind the glove box. The online manuals show that the glovebox must be unlatched and dropped dow so its hangiong on the hinge, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to unlatch it (without breaking the clip)

Anyone know how to do this?

Yes, the instructions/graphics on removing the clips are clear as mud. The clip has a rather large rubber stop on the backside that's hard to see. First of all you have to hold the glovebox drawer in one hand to relieve any pressure on the stop. Pull up on the front edge of the clip just far enough for the lip of the clip to clear the hole and then slide the clip towards you. As you pull the clip towards you, the rubber stop on the back will start to line up with the hole and you can then rotate the clip completely out of the hole. Once you have both clips out, the glovebox will rotate down to expose the filter housing. If right handed (like me), I suggest you start with the clip on the left side. It's easier to see and you can use your dominate hand on the clip while holding the glovebox with your left.

Wow Thanks. It worked like a charm. I would never have got it.
