2008 AC Compressor Bad???

Car has 51k miles and the AC was NOT used a lot. It's blowing warm air now. What I know now...Compressor is working (clutch is engaging). Low side is cold, high side is hot (that's good). I put the low side gauge and it it a little high about 55 (not good). That's as far as I got last night. I will have a friend come over this week we the proper set of gauges to check the high side. Seems like a bad compressor, is this common, with 51k and not abused???

Manual or automatic climate control?

This may sound like a dumb question but: is the temp dial all the way over to the cold side?

Manual and yes it's on the cold side...
What I'm asking is that is 51k not unusual for these compressors to go...

I got a set a gauges. It reads Ok...35/200...but blows hot air. This is my kids car. Last year the Climate Control module (with the 3 knobs) was replaced under warranty because the AC was going on/off...it worked fine for a year. Last week my kid said that the AC was Ok while it was on Max AC, when she turned it to just AC, that's when it started blowing warm (didn't know this before). So I think that the Climate Control is bad and stuck on Hot or something else. With the online service manual now is fee based. Not sure how to troubleshoot this. Unless this a common problem with the C/C...

I have 3 2006 Hyundai Corporate products; a Tucson, Kia Sedona and Kia Spectra5. They have 100,000 miles, 95,000 miles and 78,000 miles respectively. None have problems with the A/C compressor. However, my Tucson did have a problem with the fan speed dial turning the fan on and off at will. The problem was fixed by replacing the entire 3-dial assembly (read about it here). So, I'm going to go out on a limb and say the assembly is your problem since it gave you problems before. I'd suggest finding a used (or new) one on ebay and replacing it yourself.
