2010 Elantra side impact crash test and build date
I searched and didn't find any existing threads on this topic. So I understand the 2010 Elantra got a marginal IIHS side impact crash test but that vehicles built after 11/2009 are substantially safer.

It looks like the last 7 digits are the plant followed by a sequence number. Has anyone been able to tie the sequence number to a build date? Thanks |
The build date is stamed on the plate attached to the drivers door frame with the VIN:

Excellent! Thanks
