2014 Elantra Sedan washer fluid does not spray
Hello,
When I try to use windshield washer no fluid comes out. I can her the washer pump but no fluid sprays. The washer fluid tank is full also. Does anyone have any suggestions that i may be able to try before i take it to the dealer? Since the pump is working I am hoping this is an issue i can resolve myself. Thanks |
If you can get to the hoses that feeds the spray nozzles
Then try disconnecting one and run washer pump Check to see flow and where there is no flow. If it is nozzles then clean with needle or thin wire If it is the tee then clean tee Good luck |
i was able to disconnect the washer fluid line. there is a fitting between lines that can be pulled apart. i did test the flow from pump. it seems to be kind of low pressure for a few seconds then the pressure comes up and it sprays a strong stream of water. i did take my air compressor and blow the line that goes to the two nozzles that spray fluid onto windshield. they are both clear and working fine. i connect the two lines back and the pump seems to not have s strong flow. i think what i am going to do is, get all the washer fluid out of tank. then fill the tank with vinegar and run it through the system and see if that will clear the issue. i hope it does as i do not want to have to replace the washer pump. thanks
