Hyundai Forum - Hyundai Enthusiast Forums - 2021 Elantra Limited Wireless Apple Carplay

Hi everyone.

I'm interested in the 2021 Elantra (Limited trim only). I went out to get some information and winded up test driving the vehicle. Mostly impressed, plenty of features for a mid-sized. The only missing features were the lack of electronic steering wheel tilt and power folding mirrors, but this is not uncommon in cars of this class.

The major issue is that (from my understanding) the Limited trim has wireless charging pads, but does not have wireless apple carplay/AA. However, the SE and SEL trims are opposite (no wireless charging pads unless you get the convenience package and do have wireless CP/AA).

So with that being said, I have to know that if I purchase this Elantra Limited, the addition of wireless Apple Carplay can be a future software fix. Any resident experts here know if this is a possibility or am I dreaming? It just makes sense. If I have wireless charging, I will want wireless Carplay because one without the other makes either redundant.
