'99 Elantra, clutch/transmission slips - HELP!

Hello, everyone. I'm new here.

I have a '99 Elantra, std/manual transmission, with 80,000 miles on it. The clutch/transmission slips on acceleration, in ALL gears (hit the gas, the engine revs, but the car won't accelerate). Sometimes it's very loose, sometimes the clutch will hold. This has been going on for about 3 months, and is getting progressively worse. I just changed the disc, pressure plate, and release bearing just one month ago, with the help of a certified tech on his time off. But the problem is still there, and still getting worse!

Another Hyundai technician suggested that he usually changes the clutch's slave cylinder when replacing the clutch. Any ideas on whether this can be the fix, or what else it could be?

T H A N K S !!!

Changing the clutch components should in include everything associated with the clutch. I did that with my Yoda Truck. Now I replace everything that moves when using the clutch.
Good Luck!!

Thanks. Now... what else do I need to change? (I don't know squat about clutches...)

Laughing...neither did I that why I screwed up. Wound up taking it to a local garage and the mechanic was nice enough to show me my mistake. Sorry, clutches are not my strong point.
Good luck,
Brant

Only change the slave cylinder if it is leaking, which will be obvious if inspected, if it is not, leave it alone and just replace the assembly.

No problem, taht should make the clutch engage if all other components are functioning properly. If it is still slipping however, then there is something else that is bad.

they sell a rebuild kit for the slave cyclinder it is dirt cheap and easy to do. there are not many components to a clutch so hopefully you can narrow it down by process of elimination
