My Actron OBDII code reader is blank when hooked up to the connector under dash. It was very hard to disconnect also when it wouldnt read or power up from the connection. Autozone couldnt read the codes either. What reader is needed for the 99 Elantra codes? Desperately need help on this, local dealer wont help unless service charge.

Normal OBDII should work. If not, check for bent pins in the connector.

 

check for blown fuse
