Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Gas goes into the gas tank via the filler neck
It can be pumped out to the fuel rail for the engine to use
Vapors are vented out of the gas tank and through a carbon charcoal canister and vent valve
Hydrocarbons are stored in canister (clean air is released)
When engine conditions are right, purge valve opens
and hydrocarbons are pulled out of the canister then into the intake of the engine

Example: Incorrect flow could mean the purge valve is not opening so there is incorrect flow
Or a number of other things.

Presently I am still working on my own P0440.
Good luck to you
