Dash warning light not listed
Hi, I have a 2008 Elantra and on the right side of the dash I have a dummy light that looks like a horseshoe with an exclamation point in the center. There is no such light listed in the owners manual. Does anyone know what this is for? Everything is working just fine with the car.

RE: Dash warning light not listed
It the tire pressure monitoring system light. The feature is discussed on page 4-50, but you are right that the symbol itself was left out of the manual.

Thanks a lot! I did a walk around with that in mind because all other problems were listed with the lights. None of the tires looked low but I'll have to top them all off, may be a little bit sensitive. Thanks again, Jeff

Yep, Tire Pressure Monitoring System. One or more of the tires has low pressure. |
RE: Dash warning light not listed
SOMETIMES one can tell by looks BUT get a tire gage out and KNOW what the pressure is.
Winter is the main season for keeping an eye on tire pressure. If anything get below 25 lbs have the tire inspected, rim cleaned (sanded), and remounted in insure it keeps air. Good luck and post back on your findings. Thanks Good luck! ORIGINAL: Sardot Thanks a lot! I did a walk around with that in mind because all other problems were listed with the lights.
