Elantra Engine Cleaning

My engine compartment has become real dirty. I want to clean it using a high pressure washer along with some Simple Green. Any special recommendations? Thanks )

Ok this is my specialty. What to do is use a wire brush attachment on a drill and hit all of the aluminum parts. The valve pan cover, head, alternator, intake manifold, heat shield, starter and anything else aluminum will shine like glass. Now you have two options, leave it this way, or they sell this stuff called metalcast that is for bare metal that comes in alot of cool colors and looks like powdercoat when applied. Now you can apply the degreaser and pressure wash the hell out of it. Once you are done, for final detailing, use armor all on all of the plastic parts and hoses. It will look glorious and if you wipe the bay down once a week it will look great forever.
