Elantra Factory Tires in Snow? 2013, 14, 15 or 16?

Cutting to the chase before getting long-winded in my approach:
What's your experience in the snow with more recent Elantra Factory Tires?

Long winded version:

Hi, I've an Elantra 2007 which had, I believe, Hankooks all weather as their factory installed tires. They were in a word, HORRIBLE...'and in another word?: Deadly. For instance my first snow fall encounter back then included merely an inch of snow. There I was in the city stopping at the next light after no more than 20-25mph? Wellll, I was Trying To Stop. The car slid half the block to rest at just beyond the pedestrian street crossing.

Just recently tried to look up others' experiences since I'm seriously considering a new Elantra. I've found numerous sad stories about the 2011-2013 Elantras. But not much on the more recent ones...thus the reason I included those years in my heading. To hopefully gauge whether things had improved over the years.

Mind you, those stories I'd come across concerning the 2011-2013 were reminiscent of my own experiences with the 2007 Elantra's Factory Tires.

Soooooo, can anyone who owns a more recent Elantra share their snow-related experiences?

Thanks in advance. :)

I have never had a snow experience but I could not imagine that the Hankooks today are any better in the snow than the old ones were. You can probably request your dealership to swap the tires for you before you buy the car.

Thanks for the suggestion Wholesale. That hadn't occurred to me...although I wonder how it'd work in the way of cost.

Guess I'd have to do my homework.
