Possible faulty idle control valve. This car has had every problem in the book. Recently used a stop leak for the head gasket. Any help is appreciated.

Since the can of worms has been opened and multiple problems were "handled",we don't know whose fingers went in there and did what ?????

Need all that info so we might be able to come up with things to test and check. Was this the original problem, or did it show up after other "repairs" were performed?

 

Stop leak is not going to last long.. Time to dump the car or but some real proper repairs into it.

 

There are times when it is not "convenient" to get another vehicle although it is certainly worth considering.

If you came here to get some worthwhile answers, you at least need to provide the requested info. Sometimes it can be something simple and others it can turn your hair grey.. What would you like to do in this case ?
