Front defrost not blowing air. AC and heater work fine.
Dear all,
I have 2011 Hyundai Elantra. My Front defrost button will light up but there is no air blowing from front. AC is working fine, so I do not think it is the fan? any suggestion what might be the cause? Thanks in advance. Edit: I am thinking it might be the blend door actuator. Any suggestion on how to remove the Glove compartment panel? Edit: I was able to get access to the A/C Heater Blend Door Actuator, I tested it with 9 V battery - it was working. I manually moved the arm of the Blend Door the air was directed to front and floor but was not able to get air to come from the front defrost vent :(. When I push on the different climate control buttons the lights will change but not the direction of the air flow. Any suggestion? |
This sounds like the same problem I have on my 2003 Elantra. The A/C and Heat work fine, but air only ever blows out of the front vents, never the defroster vents (and I don't think the floor vents, either).
Did you have any success determining the cause of the problem? |
