RE: fuel pump and were is it located

It could be a fuel pump or it could be a sensor somewhere. If you can get the car over to an AutoZone, they can read the codes for free (maybe other parts stores as well). I'm pretty sure the pump is in the fuel tank which is accessed from the top. You have to remove the rear seat bench for access.

I checked, and yes, you have to remove the rear seat:

[ul][*] Remove the rear seat cushion. [*]To reduce the internal pressure of the fuel lines and hoses, first start the engine and then disconnect the electrical fuel pump connector. [*]NOTE
Be sure to reduce the fuel pressure before disconnecting the fuel main pipe and hose otherwise fuel will spill out.[*]Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal of the battery. [*]Remove the high pressure hose and fuel return hose. [*]Remove the fuel pump assembly.
[/ul]

RE: fuel pump and were is it located

Thanks for the help I just found out that the fuel pump was ok. timing belt went south and it damaged the vavles $3500 to repair. Found a used engine with 22k for 500.00 how much would it cost to drop in, my first quote from my local shop is $1200. Too much?
