I live in Colorado.

I'm looking to buy an '08 Elantra SE PZEV out of California (they aren't available here it seems) but heard a rumor the PZEV models have trouble in the high altitude, which causes them to burn more gas and pollute more than the stats listed in the EPA's green vehicle guide.

Has anyone experienced a problem personally or heard about it?

Your reply isn't particularly helpful and certainly doesn't answer the questions.

As for finding other car options... we are looking at others. We are looking at VW TDIs too.
