I need a spare and they cost way too much from the dealer
 

Are there any other cars wheels and donuts that will fit on my 2013 Hyundqai Elantra that I can get from a recycler or junk yard? I hate the fact that they don't come with one!!! The inflation kit is worthless if you have a blow out or sidewall puncture.

You need more than the donut. You'll need a jack and wrench to remove the tire.

However, let me ask you this, when was the last time you had a blowout or a sidewall puncture? I've never had one.

When was the last time you even used a spare tire? Me, it was probably 1989 or 1990. That doesn't mean I haven't gotten nails in tires but I've always caught it and repaired the tire before it went totally flat (I plug my own tires). Most of the time is was in my driveway and I either saw by chance or was inspecting the tires. Once I even heard the nail in the tire while driving. Plus, TPMS systems warn drivers long before the tire is too flat to drive on.

Second, people like to claim this is a safety hazard but I say it's much safer (and faster) to use a can of sealant and a pump when you are on the shoulder of a highway than it is to jack the car up and swap tires. Especially if it's on the driver side of the car.

Third, who wants to jack up a car to change a tire in bad weather or when they are dressed up? Again, the sealant and pump are much quicker.

Lastly, most cars come with roadside assistance that will come out and repair a tire or at least get you to a repair shop.

Remember, car companies cater to the majority of drivers and as unfortunate as it may be, the majority of drivers do not want to change tires themselves so they don't mind that there is no spare or jack. The majority wouldn't know how to use it anyway.

I, for one, understand the worry of not having a spare. I owned a MINI and was always nervous - even with run flat tires. I went out and got a spare too. ;)

Matching bolt pattern would be key. Centerbore differences are going to be be as well, but not sure it would be an issue; you'd be driving even with some vibration issues...

Yes nice list, but I already was told one of them wouldn't work. Tiburon prior to 03. But I may have been misinformed. Just afraid to buy it without trying any of them 1st. As far as the 1st comments from NovaResource, again thx for the posting. However I have had a blowout in my Ford Windstar and of all things it was at the bottom of the where sidewall blew out! I hit a piece of wood that had nails sticking up and they actually punctured the tire in two places, one right on the edge and like I said the 2nd on the bottom of the sidewall. Luckily I did have a spare and got over. The main reason besides that experience that I need a spare or at least a donut is I drive 250 miles a day! I am out in the country during my run and I drive at night. I dont want to left sitting beside a cow pasture in the boonies. I do have a service station jack and lug wrench that I keep in the car. I had a flat in this car last month (a Nail), but made it home before all the air came out. I bought a new tire and put the plugged tire without a wheel in the trunk so if I have another bad flat, at least I have another tire to be put on the rim by a gas station or someone if I can get it there. The tire still has tread and doesn't leak so it would be a full size spare if I can find a steel wheel. My 2013 has 68000 miles on it! Bought it in Sept 2012. Only problem I have had is the CD-XM-Radio. Sometimes it just stops even though its still lit up and I have to turn off the motor, and open the door for several seconds, close it , restart and its back on. Happens about 2 times a month.

I would suggest taking that vehicle to your local dealer to get the radio situation corrected or go with an aftermarket radio... As for the spare tire, if you do not want to mess with the full size spare that takes up half of the trunk then you could purchase one off of eBay. I pulled my spare outta my Sonata and tossed it in the new Elantra. Who ever heard of selling a car with no spare? Let the trade in guys deal with it

I hope you pulled the jack and other tools out of the Sonata too. A spare is no good if you can't jack the car up to remove the flat.

hi had same issue with my kia soul bought the spare tire kit on e bay see above "low price kit" was about 200$$ complete w/jack & wrench kit w foam holder and screw to hold spare secure in trunk
