Dear auto fans and professionals. Would you please kindly provide me with information in regards to all the power chips there are on the market with prices from 20 to 200 dollars promising a lot, but I think causing later some problems with the ignition and the general engine work, or may be I am mistaking? Please advise me : How can I improve the engine`s work and to improve all parameters safetyż? Your prompt reply is greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance. Racing1219.

There are no real replaceable chips available for your car. What you are seeing are just simple $2 resistors that fool the computer and make your car run rich.

If you want more power, buy a performance car. The Elantra is not a performance car. It's a basic daily driver.

If you want better fuel economy, start with your right foot. The largest affect on fuel economy is the driver. Learn to driver smarter by accelerating easier, using the cruise control on the highway, getting off the throttle earlier and coasting to a stop, and just plain slowing down.
