Default Radiator help

Hi everyone

I am new to this forum and hope to get some answers to the following. I have a 2004 Elantra that I have been pretty happy with, my question is. Has anybody had to have there radiator replaced? How long Years / miles did the original last. I have 76k miles on the car. Does that sound about right?

Thanks

Eric

If it's not leaking and not corroded/clogged inside, there's no reason it to replace it.

Keep clean coolant and thermostat replaced so it not over heat, you should be good to go.

See a lot of them melt the filler neck bead where the radiator cap rubber seal rests, upper tanks crack across the top, never seen 1 leak at tank to core joint..

I have a pile of old Elantra/Tiburon radiators in my shed for scrap.

Default Hi again

I posted the "radiator help" thread yesterday. I appreciate the responses. My question was not specific enough. My radiator is leaking and needs to be replaced. I've had the car 6 and a half years and have 76K miles. Does this sound about right for the life of the radiator?

Thanks again

I don't understand what are you looking for. What does it matter if it "sounds about right for the life of the radiator"? If it's leaking, replace it. The age doesn't matter.
