Primary Resistance on Coil ????????

Hey Experts,

I have another question for you. In my manual it is telling me that the primary windingsresistance in the coil should be 0.45 to 0.55 ohms. I tested it using a digital voltmeter on the 200 ohm setting and got 1.1 ohm on both. Does this mean that the coil is no good?

well is the car running? according to the specs. it would seem as if the coil is no good but i say if it's working that would tell me that the coil is good. sometimes those specs tell you what to look for when diagnosing a problem, if you had came up with a number like 2.5 ohms then you know you have a problem.

Yeah, it was runninhg but loping at idle and throughout driving. I visually inspected the coil pack after I removed it from the car. Looking in the plug posts on the coil pack I noticed that #1 cylinders's post internally was corroded very badly. The rest of them were fine.. I am just gonna replace the coil pack. Thanks.
