Weird question ...

I have a 2016 Elantra. I don't know quite how to phrase this correctly so hope this makes sense ...

The range indicator .... does it always drop by one KM at a time?? Or does it adjust/JUMP depending on whether you're highway driving or town driving?? WHEN does it adjust ... while being driven or when it is off??

I filled up a couple days ago ... it went to about 580 KM. I drove around town and one highway trip of about 65 KM (some of it stop and go).

This morning I noticed I was down around 410 KM. I can't see that I could have driven more than 100 KM (I did some calculating!). So I am trying to figure out if my car was driven (without me) or if was adjusting based on my habits.
