Removal of Gear Knob Manual

i just recently purchased a 2004 hyundai elantra 2.0HVTand want to replace to the stock gear knob with an aftermarket one. I have no clue how to remove the old one so that i can put the new one on. If any one has any ideas feel free to let me know how to do it.
