Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Default Shift ****

I bought a 2002 elantra last week and i want to change the shift ****. It is an automatic and i was wondering how to remove the stock ****. I can feel a hole for a wrench on the back of it. Is it easy to remove?

Thanks,
Ryan

You need to remove the small phillips head screw holding it on.It is fairly simple just keep track of the spring inside. Some have phillips on front and back some just on front.remove the screws and replace it.

They have aftermarket automatic shift ***** for those? Or are you putting on a stocker that's less worn-out?

If I was you, I would go ahead and remove the shift ****, take a measurement of the mounting hole and screw holes, and take pictures of the mounts, then email them to the seller asking him for pictures and dimensions of the one he's selling, and be sure to include the pictures and dimensions of yours that you took. This will save you the headache of getting the part and realizing that it doesn't fit, not to mention that it'll save your eBay feedback rating a few points as well.
