ticking noise

2014 elantra,66,000 miles just started making a loud ticking noise when running.if it is warmer out the noise is not as loud but still present.the car has auto trans and oil has always been changed at the dealers...any idea what this could be?

Hard to tell without listening directly. If the ticking sound is coming from the upper parts of the engine it is likely caused by clogged hydraulic valve lifters. There are very small passages for the oil to enter the lifters and when they get clogged the lifters don't expand enough to tighten the valve lash.
If that is the case in your engine you may want to investigate about cleaning procedures.
