2010 Touring ESC OFF indicator, Cruise Control, and Rear Brake Tail Lights
Offering the forum a data point here.
My sister in NY drives a 2010 Elantra Touring and recently noted that the ESC OFF indicator started coming on about the same time as the cruise control stopped working.
A quick web search suggested that failed rear brake tail (side) lights could be related to both issues.
Turns out *both* rear brake tail light bulbs had failed; replacing the failed brake tail light bulbs with new Sylvania 1157LL bulbs not only fixed the failed brake tail lights, but also resolved the ESC OFF indicator and cruise control issues.
