Oil filter location

Default Oil filter location

Anyone here a diy'er with oil changes? I plan to do my first one on this car but just can't find the filter. Can anyone point me to the location?

The filter is located on the passenger side of the car on the side of the engine that faces the radiator. #1 in the exploded picture below:

Thank you! It also looks like the sump is a two piece affair, the bottom piece being a black, stamped tin piece with the drain plug. Would this be true?

I don't want to end up draining the manual trans instead.

Looks like I need to get a shop manual :-)

There is a plastic cover you will need to remove to make it easy.
